Children

We are a safe place to question, seek, grow, and demonstrate who we are in Christ.
At Maple Grove we love our children and we are committed to providing a safe, playful and nurturing environment for children, youth, volunteers, and staff to grow spiritually.

Children’s ministry includes children from birth through the 6th grade.

Our Safe Sanctuary Policy guides our safe practices with children and youth, as well establishes guidelines for recruiting, screening, and hiring staff and volunteers who work with our children. To review the policy, download the document here.

Nursery (birth to 5 years old)
The nursery is staffed from 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM, by attendants who are background checked and certified in first-aid.

Children's Worship

Children's Church (5 to 9 years old)
Every Sunday after the Children's Message, we welcome children to join us in Room 125 for Children's Worship.  During this time, we use a program from SparkHouse Publishing called Whirl.  The lessons include short videos with friendly characters that appear every week.  The time also includes games, crafts and age-appropriate introductions to people from the Bible and their stories.  

Children are always welcome to worship with their families in the sanctuary or in the parlor.  Maple Grove Kids Activity Bags can be picked up at each main entry door of the sanctuary.  ​​

Back to School Blessing

During worship in the Children’s Moment, we’ll have a special blessing for all children, teachers, and school related staff.  Then all are invited to stop by the Hospitality Table for some special ice cream treats to celebrate.  We’ll have more little surprises there as well for students, teachers, and staff.  Your Maple Grove family wants you to know we will all be praying for you during this new year of learning, growing, and dreaming.
