Kairos Cookies We are seeking volunteers to bake cookies for a Kairos Prison Ministry Weekend. Kairos Prison Ministry International, Inc. is the parent organization of a body of ministries addressing the spiritual needs of incarcerated men, women and children, their families and to those who work in the prison environment. During a weekend event inmates are challenged to accept God’s call to a life of Christian witness and service to one another and to staff during their stay in the institution and beyond. Between 5,000 and 10,000 dozen home baked cookies are provided for a Kairos weekend. The cookies are a very visible and powerful sign of God’s love. Every inmate in the institution will personally receive cookies along with a handshake and the words “God bless you” or “God loves you”. Inmates cannot believe that someone would take the time to bake cookies for them and it truly touches their hearts. A sign-up table and guidelines for bakers can be found in the lobby after the service. Cookies will be picked up at the church on Sunday, September 19. For more information please visit www.kairosohio.org  or contact Stewart and/or Jane Rantz @614-436-1812.
