Weddings

We consider weddings to be sacred events at Maple Grove United Methodist Church. We understand that we play a vital role in helping make them meaningful and memorable. We take our role seriously and thus want to share with you some information we know will be helpful to you.

The first thing we want you to know is that Maple Grove is a community of faith committed to being hospitable. That is, we consider it a privilege to be involved in weddings and to offer our space and services for such. We treasure the opportunity to meet with couples in preparation for this significant expression of the love with which God has gifted them. The pastoral staff will meet with each couple planning a wedding at Maple Grove at least three times.

We believe the church has much to offer couples after they are married as well. We want you to know that we will strongly encourage you to stay involved with a church after you are married. If you are currently attending another church, we want to know why you want to be married at Maple Grove. Please include a short explanation on the back of the wedding plan form and return it to the church office. It is necessary for this form to be returned and for the couple to meet with one of our pastors before a wedding will be scheduled.
