Children's Ministry

We recognize that every child is on their own personal journey with Christ.  We provide a warm, loving environment so that each child can feel safe and have fun as they grow in their own spirtuality.   This offers every child an opportunity to grow in faith in a way that connects with him or her.  We strive to give kids a foundation in God’s Word and a knowledge of God’s deep and unending love for them in Jesus Christ.

Children's Sunday School

Sunday School is for children age 4 through grade 5 and is held from 9:45 to 10:45 am. September - May.   All the children gather together each week where they are introduced to Jesus and God’s Word through Bible stories. The children are then divided into groups where they can dive into a more detailed study using science, art, drama, music, video, cooking and more. Through the stories and activities they meet and get to know Jesus Christ.

Family Worship

During Worship services families with children are always welcome.  Our worship services are held at 8:30 and 11:00am (10:00am during June, July and August).  Children's worship bulletins, puzzles, books, and mini-Methodist doodle pads are available on the tables located just inside the Sanctuary doors.

Children's Worship During Service

Early during the second worship service, children are invited to join in Children's Moments at the front of the church. Following Children's Moments children under the age of 4 may leave for the nursery and children 5 to 5th grade may leave for Children's Worship.

Children's Worship is held in the Upper Education Wing. Children age 5 through 5th grade are invited to join us in the chapel to experience their own special church service filled with traditional elements of worship (acolytes, prayer, scripture, communion, and music) and some non-traditional elements (like the laptop, projector, literature, and sing-along DVD's). Building on the theme of the adult service, we invite children to learn about Christ through song and activity.

Our Parlor is available as an alternative to the nursery during worship. From the Parlor, you can see and hear the worship service with the freedom to move around with your child and without the worry that you may be disturbing others.

Nursery and Child Care

Tender loving care is available in our Little Lambs Nursery.  Paid staff provides care for children from birth through age 4 on Sunday mornings during the 1st and 2nd service, as well as the Sunday School hour. Bible stories and love are presented through play, music and affection.
