Adult Mission and Outreach Opportunities

Isaiah 6:8 “Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.”

What's the right thing do? When we are involved in mission work, we are fulfilling Christ's call to live out being the hands, feet, and heart of Christ!

Adult Mission Trip

Each summer our adult mission group takes a week long mission trip to serve in another community.  We believe that personal and social holiness always go together, and we work to build mission skills and spark mission passion.  Our youth and adults participate in projects throughout the year to raise funds for their mission travel expenses.

Maple Grove is sending volunteers on a mission trip again this year.  We will travel to Long Island, New York.  It is still recovering from last October's Superstorm Sandy.  We will serve through the Disaster Response Ministry of the New York Annual Conference and the United Methodist Committe on Relief.  The plan is to leave Maple Grove on Sunday, June 23, and return Friday, June 28. They may again be opportunities to help in areas beyond construction, such as housekeeping and administrative duties.

We have established a fine tradition of helping in recovery from disasters while at the same time developing closer friendships within the Maple Grove community.
